Learn to control blur length, compose for impact, and convert to high-contrast BW. For those with manual exposure experience interested in urban motion abstraction. Bring tripod, manual camera, ND filter.

Come along to our meetups to improve your art in a relaxed and social atmosphere and under the guidance of a professional instructor. Complete beginners to experienced artists all welcome.

Our 2 hour meetups are held in a different location each time, usually outdoors.

Bring your own materials. If you are a complete beginner all you need to start is a set of watercolour paints, brushes, and water container.

Who can attend? Open to all skill levels, from beginners to experienced artists. The instructor is there to help everyone.

Title or Location: "Quiet Moment at Windy Point"
Windy Point Vista is a rocky overlook on the Mt Lemmon Scenic Parkway, north of Tucson. While the rest of our group explored the edges of the overlook, my granddaughter and I moved into a shady spot to enjoy a quiet moment. She took out her drawing pad and I took a photo, which became this painting.

Recently I?ve been drawn to painting birds. I think it?s that I love the gradient of colour in their feathers. They are a real challenge in watercolour painting and it gives me great joy to paint the different light and shading.
